Green Crush: Home Hues from Sage to Teal

The green-adorned Thiago Wing Chair and Oleander Club Chair were just introduced at the Spring International Furniture Market by Sam Moore.

The proliferation of blue in home decor and furniture in recent seasons has paved the way for the other grand color of nature: green.

“Green is very important in various shades, and our sun-drenched color story is key,” said Sandi Teague vice president of sales and merchandising for Sam Moore Furniture“The palette features soft greens, corals and blush, as well as soft shades of blue. These soft, serene colors promote a relaxing environment  and play a large role in our Spring  2018 introductions at High Point Market.”

Added Teague, “Pinterest says there’s been a 170% increase in saves for sage-colored decor. This is a green-gray that is easy to decorate around, a new neutral.”

HGTV.com recently published a new “trend alert,” asking, ‘Is sage the new neutral? It’s beginning to look that way. Gray, beige and off-white are still popular but soft, mossy and gray-greens are making a comeback.”

“In addition to sage, we’ve noticed other shades of green have spiked recently with a shift to eco-consciousness,” Teague said.

The Melange Esperanda Chest, a new introduction from Hooker Furniture, is in an always-fashionable teal, a shade that mixes the two grand colors of nature.

Teal, a go-to color for the Melange Collection, is always fashionable for home and fashion, as it combines the two grand colors of nature, green and blue.
