It seems everywhere we turn in October, there’s a delightful pink twist. NFL players are running down the gridiron wearing bright pink shoes. Runners are racing for the cure clad in pink t-shirts. Pink ribbons adorn lapels across the world.
At Hooker Furniture, we are thrilled to be getting in on all the “pink energy” surrounding Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Our Sam Moore division in Bedford, Virginia custom created and lovingly crafted this Pink Chair for the Cure featuring a woven fuchsia cover with flecks of green called “Preppy,” set off by a white and pink ikat-patterned accent pillow. Isn’t she adorable, sexy and chic? We have named her “Hope.”
In a Pink Partnership for the Cure, we have joined with our retail friends Furnitureland South to offer this chair in a contest to raise money for breast cancer research. Visit hookerfurniture.com/pink to enter to win, and email us to let us know that you now like the Hooker Furniture and Furnitureland South brands on Facebook or are following us on Twitter. Your email is your official entry into the contest and will result in a $10 contribution to breast cancer research through the N.C. Triad Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
In the furniture world, October is not only famous for Breast Cancer Awareness Month; it is also the month of the semi-annual international High Point Market where new furniture styles are introduced. We’ll be bringing Hope to High Point Market as well…a duplicate of the Hope Chair will be displayed in the front of the Sam Moore showroom, allowing retailers and designers the opportunity to also contribute to breast cancer research. Our great desire is that Hope will indeed help bring hope to the 1.3 million people who are diagnosed with breast cancer worldwide each year. We invite you to become a pink partner and help spread that hope!
