The only thing comforting about saying goodbye to summer is the knowledge that pumpkin season is on its way. Pumpkin carving, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin lattes…there’s no shortage of pumpkin inspiration available to help soften the blow of shorter, cooler days.
While traditional orange pumpkins will always be appealing, I’m really loving white pumpkins this year. So I set out to find some inspiration for holiday tablescapes using them. As usual, Pinterest did not disappoint. See these gorgeous ideas on my pumpkin perfect Pinterest board dedicated to the look.
Farmhouse Chic
Combining upscale farm elements and white pumpkins is a natural. Whether real or fashioned from fabric, paper or old sweaters—white and light-colored pumpkins provide the perfect centerpiece for holiday celebrations. Add fresh roses, hydrangeas or vines and accent with burlap or natural cotton linens to complete the look.
These great table displays have another thing in common: a beautiful dining table. My top pick for this look is the Chic Coterie Double Pedestal dining table from Hooker Furniture. It combines wood tones with a fresh, painted white base.
I also like the Sorella and the La Belle dining rooms for pumpkin-perfect tablescape looks.
Glam Gourds
White pumpkins can be festively decorated for a glitzy, glamorous look. Silver, gold and jewel-like embellishments add drama to a table and help create holiday sparkle.
I’d pair these sparkly pumpkin themed tablescapes with a dining room table that has a rich, dark finish like the Estate double pedestal table in mahogany finish.
One of the easiest ways to ensure the success of your holiday dinner this year is to start with a delectable tablescape. No matter how the food turns out, your guests will have plenty to enjoy.
