Animal print bonanza on poufs, cubes

They may not be new to fashion or furniture, but animal prints are as hot as ever. There’s something timeless about zebra stripes, cow hides, mock croc and leopard prints—they’re the original nature-inspired palette. I love the scene in the film Brighton Beach Memoirs where the mother of the house is constantly polishing her mother’s dining room table. It was the 1930s and the chore is done with pride and love. This is the first spring in more than a decade that I won’t be living in the Piedmont of North Carolina. Spring in Greensboro is really something to behold, and it’s truly one of my favorite times to be in the Carolinas. The streets are lined with cherry trees and once they’re in full bloom, the blossoms twirl and dance in the wind. It’s a sight that I wish would linger much longer than it does.

As we begin to settle into January, the excitement and enthusiasm for change in a new year can become a challenge once the holiday décor comes down and New Year’s resolutions are broken within the first week.
