With the recent birth of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s son, Prince George, I couldn’t help but wonder what the royal nursery is like. How is it decorated? Very regal or perhaps simple and neutral? It got me thinking about what would make a bedroom royal? Hooker Furniture and Sam Moore Furniture offer beautiful, regal furniture that can transform any bedroom from ordinary to royal.
To create your royal bedroom, I suggest choosing a focal point. For most, the focal point of a bedroom is the bed. Clearly a royal room deserves a king-sized bed, so I have chosen the sparkling and regal Sanctuary tufted bed by Hooker Furniture. Between the tufted headboard and the finely crafted mirror trim, this bed would be fit for a king and queen!
You’ll notice in the above image there is a stunning crystal chandelier hanging above the bed. What makes a bedroom royal besides the bedroom set? A chandelier! The one in the image may be a bit pricey, but I have found a really nice replica from Overstock.com that is reasonably priced for the queen in you!
What’s a royal bedroom without a sitting area? Even if your master bedroom does not come with its own adjoining sitting room, you can easily create a conversation area to the side of your bedroom with the right furniture pieces. Begin with the chairs. The intricately carved wood trim of the Coco chair by Sam Moore Furniture features a plush gold velvet seat and embroidery accents. Regal is only the beginning for this chair!
If a carved wood chair will not complement your bedroom’s style, perhaps Sam Moore’s Arden wing chair would be more suitable. The chair’s tufted back will pair very well with the Sanctuary bed and the cream color will complement the crystal chandelier.
The sitting area in your royal bedroom will not be complete without an accent table. The shimmer of the Kenmar pedestal table will pair well with the mirrored bed. Sink into your new chair, curl up with a good book, place a cup of coffee on this accent table and you will have found royal bliss!
Even though you may not be of royal blood, you can decorate your home in a regal fashion. Choose a few key pieces that really pop and your bedroom will look like it belongs in Buckingham Palace! Now, enjoy your coffee (or English tea) in your regal room and slip into royal bliss.

I just love the bedroom furniture, with the lovely wooden furniture. I can imagine it is very much the heart of the home…where everyone comes together.
Thank you so much for the complement, Lynelle. We’re glad you like our bedroom furniture and hope you will consider our furniture when you are next shopping for your home!
