If you’re like me, you “like calling North Carolina home.” We have something to offer everyone, which is why people continue to relocate here. Some people come here for work, some to retire – others to raise a family.
The task of turning a house into a “home” doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time to personalize a home. How does one go about identifying quality home professionals from across a state like North Carolina? 13 years ago, my sister, Suzanne Sullivan, and I decided to answer that question. We began to publish an award winning magazine – North Carolina Design.
For ten years we printed our annual resource guide. We showcased talented showrooms and manufacturers; interior designers and art galleries; rug dealers and artisans; builders and architects. Our pages were filled with providers of fine bed linens, antiques, landscaping, designer fabric and decorative tile & stone. North Carolina Design graced coffee tables in cities across the state. It was both beautiful and a valuable resource.
Times change… Laptops and iPads became the “go to” destinations for identifying quality resources – 24/7. That’s why North Carolina Design transitioned to the Internet in a dynamic and highly visual format, with our magazine transforming to an online magazine at ncdesignonline.
We have an Interior Design Ideas page that features “before” and “after” articles and an “Ask the Expert” column. Our highly visual blog is written by experienced and accomplished interior designers with real-home examples of home décor reflecting all styles and tastes.
It’s truly exciting to have participants like Hooker Furniture join us in our new online “digs.” They recognize our commitment to reaching homeowners and interior designers whose interests are driven by quality and value.
Since the page of every company on North Carolina Design Online has a link to their website and blog, we know that our visitors will enjoy making the connection with the Hooker Furniture page on North Carolina Design Online.
I do consider Hooker Furniture to be one of the most forward thinking of all of our participants – elegantly using the Internet to place a virtual showroom at the fingertips of their readers and visitors. Each entry on their Experience Your Home blog also weaves a thought inspiring selection of furniture into the story presented. Designers and homeowners want to know about the latest furnishings available… and that is exactly what Hooker lets them know.
Hooker Furniture and North Carolina Design Online – a good complement to one another.
