Bloggers Tour Furniture Market

They often come in petite and feminine packages, but don’t let that deceive you. Their growing clout and influence in the world of furniture and design is nothing short of extraordinary.

They are design bloggers who create exquisitely beautiful, inspiring and content-rich blogs about interiors, decorating and trends. The top 200 design bloggers today have an aggregate monthly audience that is over two times the largest national home and decorating magazine readership.

Touring bloggers: Linda Merrill of Surroundings, Leigh Keno, Marisa of Style Beat, Leslie Keno, Megan of Beach Bungalow, Lizzy of Theodore Alexander & Cassandra of Coco+Kelley

So you can imagine that I was a little nervous recently as I prepared to host several blogger tours of the Hooker Furniture showroom at the Spring High Point Market. It was exciting to welcome these top bloggers to our Hooker, Sam Moore and Bradington-Young showrooms and to tell our story. I have an enormous respect for these professionals, and found each of them to be insightful, sensitive and creative in their viewpoints on furniture and design.

The enthusiasm and wonder expressed for the High Point Market by Holly Street of the Things That Inspire blog was contagious. In her blog about touring market, she called High Point “the pinnacle of the home furnishings experience,” noting that she anticipated her tour of five High Point showrooms like a child would anticipate a trip to Disneyland. She included a great recap of High Point trends and gave a shout out to our new Harbour Pointe collection. She also was impressed by the over 25 custom options of vibrant colored wood finishes available on our Sam Moore carved wood chairs for a “pick your finish flavor” approach.

Cassandra of the Coco + Kelley blog felt that our parchment finished, X-base Sanctuary dining room table with woven chairs took a fresh spin on the trend of woven materials and light wood finishes.

Linda Merrill of the Surroundings blog felt our Melange collection of living room accent furniture offered a new and fresh look.

Rebecca of the Materials Girls blog, gave an action-packed account of her market tour, and also felt the Melange living room accent furniture stood out because “each piece is inspired by art, jewelry, apparel and textiles rather than existing furniture.” She especially liked the zinc scalloped chest.

The dramatic mirror-trimmed tufted headboard from our Sanctuary collection caught the eye of Heather of the Habitually Chic blog.

Overall, it was a delightful experience to meet these talented bloggers! A big thanks goes out to the High Point Market Authority for organizing the blogger tour. Finally, we give the nod to Stefan Hurray of the Architect Design blog for the most memorable adjective describing furniture on the tour when he called our Sam Moore carved wood chairs with colorful crewel fabric covers “amazingly cute.” Thanks Stefan, and hurry back to High Point!

I’ve been browsing on-line more than 3 hours as of late, but I by no means found any attention-grabbing article like yours. It is lovely value enough for me. In my opinion, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as you probably did, the web shall be much more useful than ever before.
